First off, I need to mention two things about this review. It makes sense that the majority of people that would buy this text, would be people that need this text in Spanish, not English, so they might not even be able to read this review. And there would be little reason for anyone who can read English well enough to consider a text like this to buy the book in Spanish. Perhaps it is best for those who are bilingual, or want to give it as a gift.I purchased this from Amazon for a family member, so, I am basically writing this review based on their opinion of it. It was very helpful for them. It made sense to get them a repair manual in their language rather than have them struggle with texts written in a different language. Having this book in more than one language made the subject possible to be learned, and it is safer if they can more easily understand exactly what a text is referring to.Myself, I own many English versions of Haynes. I think Haynes are one of the best generic manuals, lots of real life pics, sometimes way more than the factory manuals, which often have no actual photos, but instead use artist renditions. Best to have one of each though. This particular book teaches how to diagnose combustion engines. For the price it is well worth it, a good text for a beginner. This is one of those good all about the basics books.Fair warning, though, Haynes sometimes has typos, a good reason to also get the factory manual. Also, Haynes sometimes covers too many years of a vehicle model making the manual more time consuming to use. It can be misleading, or not even contain what you need to know. But Haynes are good first repair manuals, especially if it can fix the problem, and your not keeping the vehicle. However, if you plan on doing extensive work on a vehicle you'll also need a factory manual; for the sheer volume of details, like torque specs, they are necessary. I would add that usually a Haynes manual is much easier for a beginner to use than a factory manual. The factory manuals can often be harder to follow, because I think they are geared toward the professional and often leave out details they assume you already know. Whereas Haynes might give you a reason why you are doing this or that.B E C A R E F U L. Use jackstands, dont smoke or drink alcohol when working on motor vehicles. Always stay focused and learn to recheck everything.
