Very tedious much of the time if you are moderately informed on the topic. Had to skim much of the book to find rare sections where there was something informative to read. Got it for a steep discount, so I won't complain too loudly.
I read this a few yrs ago; decided to re-purchase this book. Well written; it was the text in a class I took at community college. Good information to bring knowledge and understanding of different religions around the world. Get another aspect which aids in understanding some of the history of different religions. Expand your knowledge.
Good for the person just wanting a basic overview of many of the major World Religions, as well as some of the minor ones.You won't receive enough in-depth information to be an expert by any means. However, this book will give you enough information about these religions so that you can at least understand what their core beliefs are.I don't think I would solely rely upon this book to pass a CLEP or DANTES test, but if you have had some previous courses or classes, this could serve as a tool to refresh your memory for a CLEP or DANTES test.
